THE ENTYRE INJECTABLE GUIDE

Three materials. Different approaches.

Hyaluronic acid fillers provide volume directly. Collagen biostimulators work differently: Radiesse provides immediate contouring in appropriate areas while also stimulating collagen; Sculptra works gradually. Compare the options below, then let your injector help choose what fits your anatomy and goals.

HA / HYALURONIC ACID

Volume & definition

HA gels provide immediate or near-immediate fullness and can soften selected wrinkles and folds.

RHA · JUVÉDERM · RESTYLANE · VERSA
CaHA / CALCIUM HYDROXYLAPATITE

Volume + collagen

CaHA in a gel carrier offers an initial filling effect and supports collagen stimulation over time.

RADIESSE
PLLA / POLY-L-LACTIC ACID

Gradual collagen

PLLA supports a gradual collagen response; results develop over time rather than providing a lasting immediate fill.

SCULPTRA
01 / HYALURONIC ACID

Our HA filler collection.

Hyaluronic acid is a water-binding molecule naturally found in your skin. These injectable HA gels vary by formulation and approved treatment areas. We offer the following collections:

RHA® Collection

Resilient hyaluronic acid formulations developed for selected dynamic facial wrinkles and folds; indications vary by product.

JUVÉDERM®

Hyaluronic acid fillers for selected facial lines, contour and lip enhancement goals.

  • VOLBELLA® XCLip augmentation, perioral lines and certain undereye hollowing indications.
  • Ultra XCSelected facial lines and lip augmentation.
  • VOLUMA® XCCheek volume, chin profile and selected temple hollowing.
  • VOLLURE® XCSelected moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds.

Restylane®

A family of hyaluronic acid fillers designed for different facial treatment areas.

  • DefyneDeeper facial folds and selected chin augmentation.
  • RefyneSelected facial lines and folds.
  • SilkLips and fine perioral lines.
  • LyftCheek and midface volume, selected folds, hands and chin augmentation.
  • KysseLip augmentation and upper perioral lines.

Revanesse® Versa™

Hyaluronic acid filler for moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in eligible adults.

Each product has its own FDA-approved indications and safety labeling. A filler approved for one area should not be assumed to be approved for every facial treatment area.

02 / COLLAGEN BIOSTIMULATORS

Radiesse & Sculptra.

These are also classified as dermal fillers, but their materials, immediate effects and collagen-related timelines differ from traditional HA fillers—and from each other.

CALCIUM HYDROXYLAPATITE / CaHA

Radiesse®

Radiesse contains CaHA microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. In appropriate treatment areas, it can provide immediate volume or contouring and also encourage collagen production over time.

POLY-L-LACTIC ACID / PLLA

Sculptra®

Sculptra uses a synthetic biodegradable material to encourage gradual collagen formation. Visible improvement takes time, and your plan may include a series of treatments.

More about Sculptra & Radiesse
03 / FILLER CORRECTION

Hylenex® & dissolving filler.

Hylenex is a brand of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid. When clinically appropriate, a provider may use hyaluronidase to adjust or dissolve previously placed HA filler.

Dissolving cosmetic HA filler with Hylenex is an off-label use. Hylenex does not dissolve Radiesse or Sculptra. A consultation helps determine what product was placed and whether correction is appropriate.

If you develop sudden severe pain, vision changes or unusual skin discoloration after injections, seek emergency medical care.
